Privacy Policy

This policy explains how the GrahaTara mobile app and the grahatara.com website handle your information. GrahaTara is a product of Digital X Solution LLC (“we”, “us”). It describes the current version of the app. If we add features that change how information is handled, such as accounts, cloud sync or in-app booking, we will update this policy before those features launch.
Your birth details
In the current version, names, dates, times and places of birth you enter in the app are saved only in the app’s local storage on your device and are not sent to our servers. Deleting a saved person, or the app, deletes them.
Location
If you allow it, the app uses your location only while you are using it, to:
- find Hindu temples near you. Your approximate coordinates are sent to the public OpenStreetMap Overpass service to run the search;
- pre-fill your starting point when you plan a trip;
- show the emergency numbers for the country you are in;
- look up a place of birth that is not in the built-in list, using your phone’s built-in Apple or Google geocoder.
We do not store your location and do not use it for advertising.
Safety contacts
Trusted contacts you add on the Safety screen are stored only on your phone. When you tap SOS, call or message, the app opens your phone’s dialler or messaging app. Your location is included only in messages you choose to send.
Travel partners
When you choose a cab, bus, train, flight, hotel or restaurant option, the app opens that partner’s app or website and passes the pickup point, destination and date so you don’t have to retype them. Anything you do there is governed by that partner’s own privacy policy.
Purchases
The one-time Full Access unlock is processed by Apple or Google. We use RevenueCat to confirm your purchase. It receives an anonymous app user ID and your purchase receipt, never your card details or birth data.
App updates
The app downloads updates from Expo’s update service, which receives basic technical information such as the app version and platform.
No ads, no selling of data
The current version of the app contains no advertising or analytics software. We never sell your personal information or share it for advertising.
This website
If you join the launch list, your email address is received by our website host, Netlify, and stored by our email service, MailerLite, which sends the confirmation email and our launch announcement. We use it only to tell you when GrahaTara launches and about major updates. Like most websites, our host keeps standard server logs (such as IP address and browser type) for security and reliability. The website uses no advertising or tracking cookies.
Deleting your information
- App: delete a saved person in the app, or uninstall the app to remove everything stored on your phone.
- Launch list: use the unsubscribe link in any email, or write to support@grahatara.com and we will delete your address.
Children
GrahaTara is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
